Technical Foundations for AI Discoverability

Content cannot perform well if it is difficult to crawl, interpret or connect.

We audit the technical foundations that support both traditional search and AI-driven discovery.

What We Review

  • Crawlability and indexability
  • Canonicals and robots directives
  • XML sitemaps
  • Structured data
  • Internal linking, semantic HTML and page hierarchy
  • JavaScript rendering and duplicate content
  • Content accessibility
  • Core Web Vitals and mobile usability
  • Structured organization information

AI Crawlers & robots.txt

We review how the site handles known search and AI-related crawlers and align those rules with the company’s content and data policies.

We do not automatically allow or block every AI crawler. Making that configuration an intentional business decision matters more than copying a generic robots file.

Allowing a crawler does not guarantee inclusion in AI answers. Blocking a training crawler also does not, by itself, remove a brand from systems that retrieve the live web.

Audit the technical layer

If important pages are hard to crawl, duplicated or missing structured organization facts, technical work should precede large content bets.
